Do you remember Mika's album, Lifer in Cartoon motion? The album was very catchy* and it sold 5.6 million copies*. It was Mika's "childhood*" album-some son wrer inspired by children's nursery* rhymes.
Now Mika is back with a colourful new album, The Boy Who Knew Too Much. It is the second episode of the first album, but this time the inspiration was Mika's teenage years.
A COMIC BOOK ALBUM
He describes the album as"a comi book musical biography of my adolescence". In the video of his first single, "we are Golden", Mika dances in his bedroom wearing* gold* shoes and a pair of whiter pants*."As a teenager, I used to dance in my room. It was like a private* Cermony of begging* people to like you;" he says.
PROBLEMS AT SCHOOL
Today Mika is a star, but things have not always been easy. He was dyslexic and he was bullied* at school. But a Russian music teacher taught* him how to sing and play the piano. "I was trained* very hard*, the way* they used to train Russian gymnasts, " he says.
FAMILY BUSINESS
Mika got a place at the Royal College of Music. "I thought everyone was more talented than I was," he explains." I didn't want to be a classical singer, but I needed something to do."

So he choses pop music. He got lots of encouragement from his family, and the still* help him today. Mika's father is American and his mother is Lebanese*. HE has a brother and three sisters. They are a very creative family, and his sisters work with him - Ysmine designs* his album covers and Palmona and Zuleïka design his clothes.
A STRONG MOTHER
His mum makes some of his clothes too, and she still has a lot of influence on Mika. When he wanted to rent* a big house in Hollywood to write the songs for the new album, his mum said "no"!"Mum didn't want me in a Beautiful house, sitting* around watchin movies*," he explains. So he went back to his old apartment in London.
A BOY WITH DISCIPLINE
Like many mothers, Mika's mum has always insisted on hard work."Since* I was 12 years old, she drilled* discipline and a quest* for excellence into me. It was Hard, but now I know what she means*,"he When we listen to the new album, We know she was right!
